4th of July children’s parade

The event aims to provide a free, family-friendly celebration of the Fourth of July, with a unique focus on Hill Street. This street, with its rich history and familiar buildings that many families in our county seek services at, is a true gem in our community. The event features two main attractions, starting with a charming children’s parade. So, there are no floats or bands in this parade. The parade is made up of children (accompanied by parents) dressed in red, white, and blue. They and their parents decorate their bikes, strollers, wagons, and even family pets. They then walk down two city blocks waving American flags while the community and businesses cheer them on. Once they have reached the end, they enjoy a block party hosted by the companies on Hill Street and beyond.
