Wabash Valley Dance Theater will present Home Alone in Wabash—a festive, dance-filled twist on the beloved holiday classic! When young Kevin is accidentally left behind while his family travels for Christmas, he must protect downtown Wabash from a pair of hilarious burglars. Filled with joy, fun dance numbers, and community, the performance will get you ready for the holiday season.
Ready to trade, bargain, wheel, and deal? Join us for a super fun Toy Swap hour where kids can bring toys they no longer play with and swap them for new-to-them treasures!
Kids can wander from table to table, chatting, trading, swapping, and discovering fun surprises along the way. Want to test your bartering skills? Go for it! Want to keep it simple? That’s cool too!
No toys to bring? No problem!
We’ll have a Community Table stocked with toys up for grabs – take one (or two!) and then either:
• Keep them, no trading needed OR
• Jump into the bargaining fun and swap your way around the room!

Ring in the new year a little earlier at the library with our annual Noon Year’s Eve Celebration! Perfect for families, this event gives kids the excitement of a countdown and the chance to celebrate – without staying up late!
Join us for a fun-filled program packed with activities for all ages. Dance along at the freeze dance party (with prizes!), get creative with a coloring page, listen to a festive story, and strike a pose in the photo booth with props. When the clock strikes noon, we’ll celebrate with a confetti-filled countdown that’s just as thrilling as midnight!

Break out your boldest, loudest, most fabulously tacky holiday sweater and join us for an hour of festive Bingo fun! We’re talking jingling pom-poms, questionable color combos, and sweaters that would make even Santa do a double-take.
We’ll play lively rounds of Bingo with chances to win some very cool prizes along the way. Bring your friends, your family, and your most gloriously ugly sweater – the sillier, the merrier!

Navajo artist Emmi Whitehorse is known for her abstract paintings that mix melting colors with gestural marks. Her unique style reflects her Southwest surroundings and pays homage to the Navajo philosophy of Hózhó, which seeks to achieve a harmonious balance of life, mind, and body with nature. Homeschool students will enjoy learning about the life of this modern artist before using bleeding tissue paper to create art inspired by her creations.

Are you a dice goblin with no way of using said dice? Well, North Manchester Public Library has the solution! We are seeking adventurers to join our teen campaign. All you need to bring is your imagination!

Step into a little world of winter magic! Over two sessions, we’ll build a miniature Christmas village nestled inside a 3D tree display.
During the first workshop, you’ll use clay and molds to sculpt your own tiny snowfolk, cottages, trees, and other charming pieces to bring your village to life. For our second session, we’ll paint, decorate, and assemble everything into one snowy, whimsical scene full of cozy holiday cheer.
Warm creativity + tiny details + just a sprinkle of magic = the perfect holiday craft!

Settle in with cocoa, cheer on your team, and see who will sleigh the competition! Whether you watch these films every December or are just now joining the tradition, this is a night full of laughter, nostalgia, and holiday sparkle.
The winning team will win a $50 gift certificate to the Ice Skating Rink at the Miller Sunset Pavilion in Winona Lake!

The North Manchester Public Library’s Winter Reading Program is back! This year, we’re cozying up with a warm drink and a good book, letting the magic of winter reading steep into our days and bring joy, comfort, and a little sparkle to the season.
Winter Reading: Steep Yourself in Stories is open to children, teens, and adults. The program begins December 15th and ends February 14th. Participants can register and track reading on the free Beanstack app (available in the app store on any smart device) or by using the Beanstack laptops at the library’s circulation desks. Each hour of reading logged earns 2 tickets, which are entered into drawings for a wide variety of fabulous prizes donated by local businesses.
Our collaborative Paint by Sticker poster will also make its return! As readers log hours, they’ll earn stickers to add to the poster. The image starts as a mystery and builds as everyone adds stickers to create a surprising winter masterpiece.
Winter readers are encouraged to explore titles of their own interests, in their preferred format, at their own pace. Readers can even count books they read to others!
