Sew Much Fun: Beginner Cross Stitch
Join us for Sew Much Fun: Beginner Cross Stitch, a two‑week introduction to needlework designed especially for young makers. Using kid‑friendly plastic canvas and yarn, participants will learn the basics of cross stitch while creating a ladybug pattern – with the fun option to customize their ladybug’s colors using any yarn they choose! All supplies will be provided, including the beginner cross‑stitch kits, plastic needles, and plenty of yarn.
Cross stitch is a wonderful early craft. It supports fine motor skills, hand‑eye coordination, focus, and patience, while giving kids a simple, confidence‑building way to create art one stitch at a time. Many children find the rhythm of stitching calming and satisfying, especially as they watch their design take shape.
Because this is a skill‑building program, participants are required to register and are asked to commit to both weeks of the session. Children ages 6 and 7 must attend with an adult to help support their learning.
