Wabash Run The River Half Marathon

Back for its fourth year, Wabash Run The River is a chip-timed race that starts in the heart of Wabash County and runs along the Wabash River! From competitive athletes to leisure runners, this event appeals to everyone! Choose run options from a 5K, 10K, or 13.1 half marathon that will take you along the scenic Wabash River Trail located along the Wabash River. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top male and female half-marathon, 10K, and 5K finishers.

FREE club, open to anyone at any fitness level and at any age!  Miles & Smiles invites runners, walkers, dogs (on leashes), and families to participate!  It is a great place to get out and build community with others.

Whether you are training for the Wabash Run the River Half Marathon in June or just want to run for fun, these weekly runs are designed to bring people together over the love of being active and reaching for new personal goals.

Open to anyone this FREE health program welcomes individuals of all fitness levels and ages! L4B encourages riders at any proficiency level to partake in their weekly rides around Wabash County.

Whether you are a beginner or striving for new cycling milestones, it’s perfect for everyone. Spikes and Bikes is a local bike club that volunteers their time to lead each ride and share some cycling tips.

❤️ Thanks to our community health partner, Parkview Wabash Hospital, participants earn incentives for participating!  A FREE health assessment is offered in the beginning of the riding season as well as at the end.

Pickleball Open Court

Open to anyone who would like to play pickleball twice a week and get in a little social time. Free for all skill levels. Mondays at 5:30 PM and Fridays at 1 PM.

First Day Hike

One-mile stroll through the woods along the moderate Tree Trail, some hills & steps included. Dress for the weather. Families and friendly dogs on leashes are welcome.

Polar Paddle with Wabash River Defenders

Polar Paddle

Polar Paddle on New Year’s Day morning! Meet the Wabash River Defenders in Lagro. Cast off from Hanging Rock by 9 AM. Stay for chili at the Lagro pavilion after we paddle. We hope to see you there!

Winter Creek Stomp

Ross Run in winter is spectacular! 20′ icicles, frozen waterfalls and fossils. Depending on the weather, we’ll be walking either through frigid water or on ice. Choose appropriate footwear and consider bringing dry shoes and socks for after.

Swift Hike and Bald Eagle Watch

Caravan along with us to several ACRES preserves in Wabash & Miami counties. Take a quick hike at each preserve to watch for bald eagles soaring along the ravines and waterways. Begin the journey at Hanging Rock National Natural Landmark and end the journey in Miami County, with a stop at Seven Pillars Nature Preserve.
