Santa’s Workshop

This year’s Santa’s Workshop is shaping up to be our most magical one yet! Santa’s Workshop is a special holiday shopping experience where children can experience the joy of gift-giving by choosing beautiful handmade presents for family and friends. Children of all ages are invited to “shop” for gifts for family, friends, and even a special treat for themselves, regardless of their financial circumstances. Upon arrival, each child will receive NMPL Bucks to spend in the Blocher Community Room, and they are welcome to bring along any additional bucks they’ve earned throughout the year. These can be used in the shop to purchase gifts and treats!

Our hardworking Santa’s Elves (better known as NMPL staff and wonderful community volunteers) have spent the year crafting an incredible collection of handmade treasures. Shoppers will find cozy scarves, festive ornaments, puppy chew toys, hand-carved bowls, dolls, aprons, blankets, and so much more. Adults are encouraged to join in the holiday fun as well. Purchases made with real dollars help support the Friends of the Library and the programs and services we offer throughout the year.

To make holiday gift-giving even easier, a free gift-wrapping station will be available in the Adult Department, so every treasure is ready to tuck under the tree. Whether it’s finding the perfect gift for a loved one or experiencing the excitement of giving, Santa’s Workshop is a beloved NMPL holiday tradition, and we hope you’ll join us this year!
