Dirty Diggers: Saving Seeds
July 28 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Dirty Diggers is NMPL’s hands‑on gardening program for kids, where young gardeners dig in (literally!) as they prep garden beds, plant veggies, herbs, and flowers, and learn how to care for a growing garden from seed to harvest. Each week brings a new theme and a new chance to explore the natural world right outside the library doors.
The season of library gardening is coming to a close, but our plants can return next year! Learn how to harvest and save seeds for future gardens and what the country of Norway is doing to protect more than 580 million seeds “just in case.”
