Looking for an activity that you and your kids will enjoy? Wabash County is the perfect place for kids to learn, play, and explore! Here are 12 family-friendly activities that are sure to leave long lasting memories.
Indoor & Entertainment

As a family you can spend hours discovering the local history and culture of Wabash County. The Wabash County Museum offers interactive activities as well as kid friendly events throughout the year. Sign up for a personalized field trip here!

At the Eagles Theatre catch the latest movie, live performances, and special events downtown in Wabash. Before 4PM all tickets are $5. Evenings $7, and $5 for kids 12 & under.

The nostalgic 13-24 Drive In has been a staple of summer fun for decades. Bring a blanket and lawn chairs and enjoy one of Indiana’s few remaining drive-in movie theaters.

Playtime & Family Fun

On a sunny day cool off in the water, the Mark C. Honeywell Pool is the perfect spot. Public swimming is from 1 PM to 7 PM with daily fees of $1.50 for kids 13 & under and $2.00 for ages 13 & up.

Get creative with hands-on projects at Make it Your Own. They offer studio time, workshops, classes, art camps, canvas painting, glass mosaic, artist workshops, private parties, and so much more!

The Wabash County YMCA provides year round activities for family fun! Kids can engage in puzzles, games, and crafts in the child watch room or play outside in the Rainforest Play Park. There also is an indoor pool!

The Strauss-Peabody Aquatic Center has something for everyone in your family to enjoy! Swim laps in the full-size competitive pool, relax in the warm water therapy pool, fly down the indoor water slide, or unwind in the whirlpool, steam room, and sauna. Their pools are also available for rent and are the perfect place for a family reunion or birthday parties!
Outdoor Adventure & Nature

Warvel Park sits on 10-acres and includes playground equipment, horseshoe pits, picnic tables & grills, and a basketball half court as well as Scout Hall, two open-air pavilions, 6 pickleball courts and a gazebo.

Discover one of Indiana’s most historical sites and enjoy the outdoor space. Paradise Spring Historical Park & Riverwalk offers a beautiful scenic view and a great place to take the kids on a nice walk.

You can walk, bike, and explore the Wabash River Trail. Offering 7 miles of paved trails perfect for a family walk or strollers and bicycle rides.

Kids can interact and explore live birds, touch artifacts, and participate in seasonal programs at Salamonie Lake & Interventive Center. It’s an easy way to spend a sunny afternoon by the lake.
