Homeschool Science Lab with Manchester University: Digestive System
You may think about your digestive system every time your stomach growls… but how does this hardworking system actually turn food into the energy our bodies need? At this month’s Homeschool Science program, students from Manchester University’s Biology Department will guide participants through a series of hands‑on stations all about the Digestive System.
The digestive system is responsible for breaking down food, absorbing nutrients, and fueling everything from movement to growth. During this interactive session, homeschoolers will get a behind‑the‑scenes look at how this complex system works and what really happens after we take a bite. It’s a fun, engaging way to explore one of the body’s most essential processes.
We hope you’ll join us for this final session of the school year!
