1. Hathaway Reserve at Ross Run

Hathaway Preserve is a gorgeous nature preserve tucked away for a perfect afternoon adventure. As you enter the preserve, you can hear the whispers of this waterfall beckoning you. Follow the trail markers to this spectacular little escape and let nature’s peace wash over you.

2. Kissing Falls at Kokiwanee Nature Preserve

The name says it all, doesn’t it? Sure, dinner and a movie, or Netflix and takeout could make a date, but why not pack a picnic, strap on some adventure boots and take your partner to the Kissing Falls for some truly special time together? Bonus points if you bring some battery operated candles.

3. Charley Creek Falls
📍477 Vermont St, Wabash
Did you know such a gorgeous getaway was located right in the heart of Wabash? The Wabash City Park boasts this gorgeous waterfall that rushes over layers of chiseled rock. There are picnic tables located just outside the falls and its a short walk from the park’s playground. This is the perfect spot to take the family for an afternoon of fun thats close by and free.
4. Charley Creek Gardens
📍518 N Wabash St, Wabash
No need to change into muddy shoes or hiking any distance to take in this gorgeous waterfall. Surrounded by a bounty of flowers as you enter the dazzling Charley Creek Gardens, it sets a peaceful tone for the rest of your visit. A gorgeous photo op, or special spot to have a seat and take a few deep breaths to the sound of rushing water.
5. Three Falls

Salamonie State Park is home to three small yet gorgeous waterfalls covered with vibrant greenery and the sounds of distant wildlife. If you’re looking for something more there are many other nearby trail and campsites Salamonie has in store for you.
6. Warvel Park
📍702 N Market St, North Manchester
The memorial waterfall at Warvel Park is a peaceful, scenic feature that draws visitors to this North Manchester favorite. Surrounding the waterfall, the 10-acre park offers a playground with a rock climbing wall, skate park, basketball half court, horseshoe pits, picnic tables, grills, and two pavilions—making it a great place to relax and enjoy time outdoors.
7. Salamonie Falls at Hominy Ridge
📍5400 E Salamonie Forest Road, Lagro
Wabash County is truly a special place that offers 5 nature preserves and 2 state parks. Salamonie State Forest is one of the more popular spots with its expansive hiking trails, fishing, camping, and bridle trails. Among all those wonderful amenities there is you guessed it, a waterfall! There are actual several smaller falls, like frog falls, you can also discover while out on your adventure in this gorgeous state park.
