Karen Wehr is a seasoned singer-songwriter whose musical roots run deep in the heart of Indiana. Growing up on a 1970s farm, she absorbed the sounds of classic rock and country, which now merge beautifully with her soaring, smooth vocals. Throughout her more than 30-year career, Wehr has enchanted audiences with riveting acoustic sets and electrifying group performances as part of “Karen Wehr & Friends.” Her credentials include notable performances at “Rockin’ The Hall of Fame” at the Eagles Theater in Wabash and opening for celebrated acts like Lita Ford of The Runaways and The Little River Band. With the release of her debut EP “Here In The Country,” Wehr’s empowering and heartfelt lyrics continue to resonate with listeners. Her authentic stage presence and unwavering dedication to her craft make her an unforgettable act and a true testament to the enduring spirit of Midwest music.

Following the Sunrise Eagle Watch we invite you to Breakfast with the Birds! Breakfast will be served (freewill donation) at 8 a.m. Birds from Salamonie Raptor Center will be present. The breakfast is a fundraiser in support of Salamonie Lake’s Raptor Center and is hosted by Friends of Upper Wabash Interpretive Services.
Registration is required. Accessible parking available at the roost; please make requests during registration.

Babytime is designed for children from birth to age three and their caregivers, offering stories, songs, rhymes, and simple sensory play to support early learning and development. On select dates, Babytime will also feature a special Baby-Led Feeding session, where caregivers can learn about this approach to introducing solid foods, focusing on safety, independence, and motor skill development.
This month, we’re making Popeye Muffins. These pretty green muffins are a fantastic snack to satisfy little bellies, particularly those who’ve reached the 12-month-old + stage of self feeding. While our muffins bake, we’ll meet our new composting worms and feed them with scraps from our recipe!
