The Rustic Barn at Hopewell
January 9 @ 7:52 am
The Rustic Barn at Hopewell was built in the late 1800’s and was used by the Shear family from 1950 – 1970 as an operating dairy barn. The Hopewell Barn is located 1/2 mile south of the historic Hopewell Church. This locale was used as the setting for books written by Gene Stratton-Porter. The Stratton Family migrated here in covered wagons from Ohio in 1845, settling on 240 acres north of the barn. Her father served as a minister at the Hopewell Church for several years.
The bank barn has two levels for entertaining. Thanks to the size of the barn, your event can be held completely under cover and will not be affected by inclement weather.
