Manchester Symphony Orchestra celebrates Mother’s Day with Creatures Great and Small, featuring “Wood Notes” by African-American composer William Grant Still; “And God Created Great Whales,” a symphonic poem with whale sounds by Alan Hovhaness; concertmaster Elizabeth Smith in “The Lark Ascending” by Ralph Vaughan Williams; and the finale, “Overture to Die Fledermaus” by Johann Strauss.
All tickets $20. Free for MSO members, youth under 18, and MU staff and students.
