Free“Song of My Blood” is a concert experience featuring Chilean musicians and poetry. This special concert experience will feature Chilean musicians Kike Galdames and Claudio Gonzalez as they perform original compositions set to the works of Gabriela Mistral, a trailblazing Chilean poet and educator who was the first Latin American woman to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature.
Free art class on Sept. 10 & 12! Visual artist Hannah Burnworth will lead students and community members in this two-part workshop to created a painted canvas inspired by Chilean artist Monroe. The artwork will be displayed during the evening of the concert. This is a free offering, however registration is required. Register now
The Honeywell CommUNITY Arts program is a collaboration between Honeywell Arts & Entertainment and Manchester Community Schools. The program inspires students to give voice to their individual stories through visual art, music, and storytelling. Activities are made possible in part by Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne, Regional Arts Partner, the Indiana Arts Commission, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
