Mississinewa Lake’s Autumn Camping Weekend

Friday, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.:
– Kettle corn. Donations accepted. Pumpkins for purchase. Register for weekend events.
-Bring on the Baskets! Donate a filled basket of items for the silent auction, from your family or business. Bidding for auction: Sat. 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Interpretive Shelter, and 1 – 9 p.m. at the Beach House.
– Shirt Pick-up: preordered shirts available for pick up. Note: Pre-orders due by Sept. 21.

Saturday:- 8:30 – 10 a.m. Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser at Interpretive Program Shelter near the water tower. Fundraiser hosted by Friends of Upper Wabash Interpretive Services. Donations appreciated.
– 1 – 3 p.m. – Pumpkin Decorating, Crafts, and Corn Hole at the Beach House. Pumpkins available for purchase or bring your own; washable paint provided. Make a craft you might want to bring to the campfire program; materials provided. Children must be
accompanied by an adult. Corn hole $5 per person entry, double elimination. **
– 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. – Trick-or-Treat in the Miami SRA modern campground. Children accompanied by their adults will walk through campground. Visitors allowed. No gory costumes, please. Campground roads will be closed to vehicle traffic from 4:15-5:45 p.m.
-7:30 – 9 p.m. –Campfire Program and Cooking Contest at the Beach House. Sample some special recipes served by fellow campers. Two categories: chili and dessert. Bring your cash to vote for your favorites, then stay for a special campfire program to celebrate the anniversary of Indiana’s 100 years of interpretation. Cooking contest begins at 7:30 p.m. Campfire program at 8 p.m. with live owls present from Salamonie Raptor Center.
– 9 p.m. – Awards and Weekend Drawings at beach house. Winners for Cooking Contest, Campsite Decorating, and Weekend Drawings will be announced. Cooking Contest winners receive Blackstone accessory took kit. Top three Campsite Decorating winners
awarded free nights of 2024 camping (holiday weekends, ACWs, cabins and AA sites excluded). Final Silent Auction bidding ends at 9 p.m. Must be registered and present to win.
