DESCRIPTION:The Manchester Symphony Orchestra presents an eclectic program of modern works featuring the world premiere of The Flock\, a new concerto for nyckelharpa and bass by the dynamic string duo Warren & Flick. The piece blends elements of folk\, jazz\, and classical genres for a fresh perspective on art music in the 21st century. Dr. Debra Lynn will conduct the program\, which also includes William Bolcom’s “Inventing Flight\,” combining classical\, jazz\, and ragtime styles to convey the history of airplanes\, and Seóirse Bodley’s ethereal “A Small White Cloud Drifts Over Ireland.” The performance concludes with the flying theme from E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial\, composed by John Williams. \nThe Manchester Symphony Orchestra brings you Invocation\n Sunday\, May 3\, 2026 3:00 p.m. Eagles Theatre $20
