SUMMARY:Annual Themed Art Competition
DESCRIPTION:This juried competition was created over 15 years ago with the goal of keeping art interesting! Every year a new “theme” is presented to challenge artists to create new and engaging works of art. Unlimited creativity is encouraged\, and all media will be accepted. \nThe theme for 2026 is “Windows.” Whether appreciating beautiful architecture\, a favorite view\, or the metaphorical windows to the soul\, artists are encouraged to use this theme to give the audience a peek into their unique world. \nSubmissions will be accepted in person at the Honeywell Center on Jul 6\, 2026. \nOn display July 9-Aug. 12

DESCRIPTION:Lacto-fermented foods are rich in enzymes and probiotics. When salt is combined with vegetables like cabbage and provided an anaerobic environment\, a transformation occurs and the result is more flavor and higher nutritional content. Learn how to create your own fermented condiments that can improve your gut health and strengthen your immune system. \nNourish Indiana will discuss the basics of lacto fermentation and vessel options. Participants will learn about the history of the Korean ferment (Kimchi) and how Marta Rodriguez makes her version: Kimchi Salvedoreño. Participants will work together to make a batch of Kimchi followed by a tasting afterward from a previous batch.
