DESCRIPTION:Preschool-age children and their adults are invited to Salamonie Preschool’s Amphibians program on April 16. Children will learn about these native animals and meet a live frog. \nChildren ages 2 – 5 and their adults are welcome to attend the class from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Salamonie Interpretive Center located in Lost Bridge West SRA\, Andrews. \nEach program is designed to enhance the preschooler’s basic education\, including music\, crafts\, social interaction\, and time outdoors\, always with a nature-related theme. \nThe program fee is $3 per child. Advance registration is requested. Register by calling Upper Wabash Interpretive Services at (260) 468-2127. DESCRIPTION:A free educational course for Wabash County adults that provides in depth knowledge of the world of recycling and waste management. There will be four classes and a graduation ceremony. Classes will take place every Thursday in April from 4:30pm – 5:30 pm at WCSWMD’s office or alternative location if necessary. \nParticipants must attend all four classes to receive their certificate at the graduation ceremony. Our goal with this program is not only to educate our residents but to foster local advocacy. \nRegistration ends March 20th\, 2026.
