Wabash Garden Fest at Paradise Spring Historical Park

A fun day of everything garden! Booths filled with herbs, garden decor, crafts, free classes, informative programs, delicious eats and more! All takes place in the beautiful setting of Historical Paradise Spring Park. Garden Fest emphasizes herbs and plants and offers programs related to gardening, reuse and organic living. We also feature gardening, landscaping, lawn care, yard art, backyard living, crafting and related organic gardening/farming/crafting booths. WE attract a large variety of downtown visitors with different gardening interest.
Starting at 9:30 am, Garden Fest will be offering free programs for all visitors. Come sit, relax or take part and enjoy each program:
9:30 am: A Berry Grape Talk will feature Jason McClure of McClure Orchard speaking on berry and grape varieties, climate, maintenance and utilization.
11:00 am: A Pallet Pleasing Garden features Jen Rankin from Wabash County Solid Waste Management, speaking on how to make most of your space by using a pallet for your herb garden.
12:20 pm: Jen Rankin will conduct a workshop titled Wine Bottle Bird Feeders, showing how to make your own squirrel proof, recycled wine bottle bird feeder.
From 9 am to 3 pm children of all ages can come and enjoy many different activities: Dumpster Diving Scavenger Hunt, Face Painting, Win Prizes with Can the Cap, Play the Environmental Wheel, Make a Recycled Piggy Bank, Plant a Wildflower. Join us at the Wee Garden tent.
At 1:30 pm there will be a Paradise Spring re-enactment. Come to the Council House (C-1 and listen to the stories from the 1826 Treaty of Paradise Spring told by citizens of our community.
