Using pre‑cut\, pre‑punched felt pieces and plastic needles\, kids will learn the basics of hand‑sewing. We’ll be working with beginner‑friendly felt animal kits\, which include everything needed to complete a project: colorful felt shapes\, embroidery thread\, stuffing\, and simple step‑by‑step instructions! \nSewing at a young age offers wonderful benefits. It strengthens fine motor skills\, hand‑eye coordination\, and focus\, while also encouraging creativity and problem‑solving. Many children find sewing calming and empowering… there’s something special about watching a project come together stitch by stitch! \nBecause this is a skill‑building program\, participants are required to register and are asked to commit to both weeks of the session. DESCRIPTION:A free educational course for Wabash County adults that provides in depth knowledge of the world of recycling and waste management. There will be four classes and a graduation ceremony. Classes will take place every Thursday in April from 4:30pm – 5:30 pm at WCSWMD’s office or alternative location if necessary. \nParticipants must attend all four classes to receive their certificate at the graduation ceremony. Our goal with this program is not only to educate our residents but to foster local advocacy. \nRegistration ends March 20th\, 2026.
