Plant Pigment: Walnut Ink Art at NMPL
December 2 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Walnut ink is made from the green outer husks of black walnuts. The ink has a beautiful golden sepia tone, but darkens over time and has historically been used to archive documents. In this session, taught by Hayley Nadine of Nourish Indiana, we will observe a demonstration of ink preparation. Afterward we will play with the ink and experiment with using it as a watercolor on paper.
