Cozy Craft Cinema: Julie & Julia

January 5 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Settle in for a relaxing evening at the library with Cozy Craft Cinema! We’ll dim the lights, brew some hot tea, and roll a seasonal movie on the big screen in the Blocher Room – all while you enjoy time to work on your favorite craft project!

Bring along whatever you’re working on – knitting, sewing, quilting, painting, coloring, or any other craft – and enjoy the chance to create in a welcoming, distraction-free space. Tables will be available for spreading out projects (it’s the perfect time to cut those quilt blocks!), and our kitchenette will be open if you need a quick brush rinse for your latest watercolor painting. Comfy seating and free hot beverages will round out the cozy atmosphere!

Whether you’re looking for a quiet place to focus, a little creative inspiration, or simply the company of fellow crafters, this program offers the perfect blend of craft time and cinema. We hope you’ll join us!

This month we’re watching Julie & Julia:
“Frustrated with a soul-killing job, New Yorker Julie Powell (Amy Adams) embarks on a daring project: she vows to prepare all 524 recipes in Julia Childs’ landmark cookbook, “Mastering the Art of French Cooking.” Intertwined with Julie’s story is the true tale of how Julia Child (Meryl Streep) herself conquered French cuisine with passion, fearlessness, and plenty of butter.”
