DESCRIPTION:This juried competition was created over 15 years ago with the goal of keeping art interesting! Every year a new “theme” is presented to challenge artists to create new and engaging works of art. Unlimited creativity is encouraged\, and all media will be accepted. \nThe theme for 2026 is “Windows.” Whether appreciating beautiful architecture\, a favorite view\, or the metaphorical windows to the soul\, artists are encouraged to use this theme to give the audience a peek into their unique world. \nSubmissions will be accepted in person at the Honeywell Center on Jul 6\, 2026. \nOn display July 9-Aug. 12

SUMMARY:Ancestral Knowledge: Pupusas
DESCRIPTION:Come learn how to make the national dish of El Salvador from Nourish Indiana! \nPupusas can be found on every street corner in cities like San Salvador. Traditionally eaten by hand\, it is a thick\, handmade tortilla stuffed with beans and cheese or meat and cheese\, served with a vinegar based slaw called curtido and a thin\, zippy salsa. \nThe dish is a labor of love\, taking many hours to prepare. But once you taste a pupusa\, you will know they are well worth it! We will walk through each step of the process: preparing the fillings\, making the salsa and curtido\, preparing the masa (corn flour dough)\, creating the dumpling sized portions\, adding the filling and finally cooking them up on the grill. Everyone will get a plate to enjoy and leave with detailed instructions and recipes. \nThe workshop is offered free of charge to the community thanks to the sponsorship of the Community Foundation of Wabash County’s Good Deeds Grant! \nProgram Cost: Free\nProgram Age Requirements: Ages 16+\nSponsored by: Community Foundation of Wabash County’s Good Deeds Grant\nRegistration: Registration is required. Her debut EP\, Beautifully Imperfect\, soared up the iTunes charts upon release (New Country Music). Her music can be described as edgy\, empowering\, raw\, soulful\, and young country. Lynn has performed at CMA Fest and was invited to join Rodney Atkins on his 2024 tour.
