North Manchester Covered Bridge
June 9 @ 9:55 am
The North Manchester Covered Bridge was built in 1872 by the Smith Bridge Company of Toledo, Ohio for a cost of $3,515.00. Limestone was quarried in Lagro, Indiana and was brought in by ox teams. It was put together with pins, iron bolts and square-cut nails. The roof was covered with hand-cut shingles. It is one of only two such bridges remaining in Wabash County.
