If you find yourself traveling the back roads of Indiana looking for a bit of nostalgia, take state road 13 through the charming city of Wabash and you won’t be disappointed. Wabash may be known as the “first electrically lighted city in the world,” but the 13-24 Drive In Theater has illuminated countless nights with movie lights for 64 years running. What makes the theater an icon is that it is one of the few thriving drive-in theaters in the United States. It boasts one of the largest outdoor screens in Indiana, and better yet, it is open seasonally from May to October.

Everything from main stage productions to local dance recitals take place on the stage of the Ford Theater, located inside this incredible performing arts center.  The onsite restaurant with an executive chef on staff provides outstanding meals in an inviting atmosphere.

In 1939, Mark Honeywell made a commitment to build the Honeywell Memorial Community Center, dedicated to his late wife Olive and his parents. Construction began on the 45,000 sq. ft. facility in 1940 but wasn't fully completed until 1952 due to labor and material shortages during World War II.

The Center provided recreational opportunities for all ages. Youngsters enjoyed the roller skating rink, local schools hosted basketball games in the gym, and adults took advantage of the lounge and other areas for card games and companionship.

In 1994, a 75,000 sq. ft. addition was opened featuring the 1500 seat Ford Theater, Eugenia’s Restaurant, Clark Art Gallery, Carpenter Plaza, Olivette Room, and several meeting and banquet spaces. Nearly 300,000 visitors enter the doors of the Honeywell Center to enjoy world-class performances, dining and other community events.

Hours Thur, Fri, Sat 12 - 6p

Paintings by local, award-winning artist, Terry Pulley.  About Terry:  I am a painter of landscapes and still-life’s. Color, rhythmic patterns light and shade fill my canvas. I am interested more in my inward expression of a subject than trying to capture the exact color and line. The power to show my own unique inner world is what my art is all about. Acrylic paints are my main medium of choice. I’ve found acrylics fit well with my rapid execution and I favor their bold and vibrant colors.

My desire to find a place for my art studio was my first goal and then thought it would be fun to add on a toy store. As a mother of 5 children, I know toys! I have a great appreciation for beautifully crafted toys that last more than a couple of weeks.

My paintings represent and reflect the world around me. We live on a small farm just outside of town.  You will often find goats, sheep, donkey’s, and all sorts of colorful characters on the canvas as well as around the farm.
